How to write a LinkedIn profile headhunters actually find

Talent Media · 26 July 2026 · 5 min read

Search visibility is a keyword problem before it is a writing problem. A practical structure for getting found.

Recruiters and headhunters find people through search, not browsing. If your profile does not contain the words they type, nothing else on it matters.\n\n**Headline**\n\nUse the job title the market uses, not your internal one. "Head of Engineering" beats "Technology Evangelist" every time.\n\n**About section**\n\nThree short paragraphs: what you do, the scale you operate at, and what you are known for. Write in first person.\n\n**Experience**\n\nLead every role with two lines of context (size, scope, remit) then three impact bullets with numbers.\n\n**Skills**\n\nPick the fifteen terms a recruiter would search for. Those are your keywords.
